The Operations Department is delighted to announce that Dan King Jr. has been selected as our Employee of the Quarter. For 28 remarkable years, Dan has been an invaluable asset to our company, consistently demonstrating dedication and reliability. Prior to joining our team, Dan served with honor for 12 years in the United States Army. Outside of his professional endeavors, Dan cherishes his time with his family, including his daughter and five grandchildren. Whenever he’s not at work, you can find Dan at the racetrack, where he enjoys horse and dog racing. His favorite beer is Bud Light, which he savors while supporting the New Orleans Saints.
Troy Leban, Marketing Event Extraordinaire! Troy started with Southern Eagle on May 27th, 2021, as a coil cleaner. He managed draft issues, primarily cleaning draft lines. Troy learned valuable information on draught systems, problem solving and delivery service. He is a leader in the Marketing Events Department. Troy is ready to support the team, helping with training, pitching-in on service calls, making special deliveries and collaborating to improve service and deliveries and, of course, in the marketing of events. Troy can be counted on to effectively communicate with consumers and the many influential managers at the venues. Troy enjoys family. He has three children, Troy Jr., Caden and Tori. When not at home or work, you can find Troy enjoying a chalice of cold Stella Artois and a fine cigar at one of the city’s cigar lounges. If you ask Troy a question, be prepared to stay a while enjoying an extended conversation and Troy talking about his favorite team, the Dallas Cowboys.
Driver Salesman Gerardo Salas has been selected by the Driver Sales Department as our fourth quarter 2025, Eagle of the Quarter. Gerardo started his career with Southern Eagle on January 29, 2025. He proved he was a great hire early in his employment by being a quick study. Gerardo quickly caught on to all of the daily routes and driver sales procedures. Gerardo, still a Relief Driver Salesman, accepts his daily assignment without hesitation and completes all assignments at a high level. In his travels as a Relief Driver, he has run all route types and has proven he can handle any assignment given to him. To say Gerardo has a positive demeanor is an understatement. He has been witnessed coming through the door singing about the route he is assigned for the day. Just to qualify, it was a Friday, and the assignment was a Bulk Route. Gerardo says his singing voice most likely comes from singing in church when he was younger, and he also played the drums back then. Gerardo has maintained a 100% Samsara score since the inception of Samsara. He was also our “2025 Rookie of the Year” nomination. Gerardo has been married to Lacy for one year. So far, there are no children yet for these newlyweds however, they do have a mixed Pit Bull they are quite fond of. In his off time, Gerardo enjoys spending time with his wife. He said they are 'nerds,' his word not ours. They play Pokémon Go and other video games. Gerardo also enjoys gardening and keeping his lawn looking pristine. When Lacy and Gerardo are relaxing, they enjoy Arizona, Hoop Tea, and Two Hoots.
Southern Eagle is proud to announce that Corey has been selected as the Sales Team Eagle of the Fourth Quarter. This recognition is a testament to Corey’s outstanding dedication, exceptional sales performance, and commitment to delivering superior service to our customers. Throughout the quarter, Corey consistently exceeded his sales targets and fostered positive relationships with both retailers and fellow Eagles. In his spare time, Corey loves blowing up fireworks as part of the LSU gameday experience crew and always represents the Tigers with class and dignity…especially when he travels to Ole Miss! Corey has been married to Tanya for 25 years, and they have two children at LSU. Adam is graduating in May with a B.S. in Exercise Science and will pursue a career in coaching. Their daughter, Olivia, is a sophomore and is training to be a pharmacist. We extend our heartfelt congratulations to Corey for earning the Salesman of the Quarter Award. Southern Eagle applauds his remarkable contributions and looks forward to his continued success in the future.
Staci Guillot is our Payroll Specialist and party planner. From tracking the ticks on your timecard to the ticks of the seconds of some of the crazy games she comes up with to brighten up any party, Staci does them with a smile and passion that makes Southern Eagle feel like family. Staci has 2 adult children, a daughter and a son. She loves hiking the many trails of Louisiana with her son and enjoys thrifting with her daughter. She likes going to festivals and seeing local bands perform. Staci has been with Southern Eagle 5 years and enjoys Nütrl and Cutwater Expresso.

President
During his career at Mockler Beverage in Baton Rouge, has held many positions including Warehouse Laborer, Driver Assistant, Forklift Driver, Merchandiser, Warehouse Supervisor, Sales Team Supervisor, Marketing Director, Senior Vice President & President. In May of 2009, he and his brother, Tim partnered with Joel Champagne (Champagne Beverage in Madisonville, LA) to acquire Southern Eagle. Currently he is a partner in Mockler Beverage and Southern Eagle, where he recently became President in 2018.
