EAGLES OF THE QUARTER
Kevin began his career as an overnight puller in the warehouse in 2017, doing this for 1 year. His dedication and efficiency quickly moved him to the mid-shift as a puller, which he excelled at for six months. Kevin moved to the role of a forklift operator, working in the draught cooler and flow racks over a span of two years. His exceptional performance and leadership qualities led him to a promotion as an on-floor team leader, where he and his crew successfully managed the critical task of loading all trucks. Continuing his upward trajectory, Kevin embraced a new challenge as a diesel mechanic, applying his technical expertise and problem-solving skills for the last year. Throughout his career Kevin has demonstrated a remarkable ability to adapt and excel in diverse roles, highlighting his commitment to growth and excellence in the workplace. When Kevin is not working, he takes time to cook for his family, spending time with his soon-to-be-wife Sarah, and their newborn baby Brayden. Kevin has also been part of an APA pool league since 2019. Kevin also spends time coaching his nephews and nieces during Basketball tournaments. Kevin is a SAINTS fan 24/7…!!

Johnathon is the Special Events and Arena Coordinator and there is a lot that goes in that roll! Such as coordinating inventory with numerous departments like delivery, warehouse, merchandising, quality control, etc. The challenges are numerous in predicting how much product is needed in the venues or the many special events he oversees. Sometimes it seems like he would need to talk to the Las Vegas odds makers to figure out how many fans will show up at the Saints and Pelicans games or, how many festival goers will show up at a festival or church fair. Johnathon has accepted the challenges and has done a nice job communicating with the Southern Eagle team on inventory, as well as the Sodexo Team at the Super Dome and Arena. He works daily with the numerous other event coordinators that manage fairs and festivals in our market to make sure we get the products requested to the events on time and then picked up after the event. Johnathon is married to Jennifer, and they will be celebrating their 1-year wedding anniversary soon. He enjoys going to cheer and dance competitions with daughters, Sydnee and Ella Kate. Johnathon is a loyal Alabama Crimson Tide fan (we don’t hold that against him) but enjoys watching all sports. He enjoys gaming and relaxing with family. He also loves cooking for family and friends. His favorite beer is Shiner Bock.
DeQuan Horsford was hired on February 9, 2023, as a Full time Driver Trainee. It didn’t take long for “Quan” to learn the job and become a very successful Relief Driver. For several months as a Relief Driver, he ran the open Metairie mini-bulk route 7 and had continued success. Route 7 was the first route where we tried running two straight trucks rather than one tractor trailer. Quan was the first driver to run the split load and helped us prove it to be successful. In January 2024, Quan was successful in bidding on and getting Route 1 in LaPlace. Feedback from the Sales Rep is that Quan does a very good job. Feedback from Delivery Team Leaders is that Quan takes care of business and does a great job of not creating work for others. Quan and Sadeja have been together for five years. They have one son named Carter who is 4 years old. Quan grew up in the Virgin Islands and moved to Miami in 2020. I had to ask him why he would leave Miami and move to the New Orleans area? He laughed and said, “Sadeja’s mother lives here”. In his off-time, Quan enjoys watching a variety of sports on television. For baseball, his favorite team is the Yankees. For basketball, he likes the Lakers and for football he is a Giants Fan. Sounds like we need get Quan to a Saints or Pelicans game!!! Quan’s other interest is he like to install car audio systems. His favorite food is chicken and rice. Quan said he began drinking beer when he started working here. He favorite beer is Budweiser.
