EAGLES OF THE QUARTER
Please join us in congratulating Willie Hale, our Warehouse Ops Eagle of the Quarter! Willie has been a dedicated member of the Southern Eagle team since 2002. He began his career as an overnight trainer on the night shift, where he was responsible for training new associates on the overnight process. Later in his career, Willie moved into the Checker position. In this role, he was responsible for verifying case accuracy of pallets and quality assurance for the trucks going out. In 2009, Willie moved into the warehouse as a puller. As a puller, he was responsible for pulling cases and building pallets for the routes going out each day. In recent years, Willie has evolved into a valuable hybrid associate in the warehouse. His responsibilities include pulling hot shots and dock sales, as well as pulling the liquor orders that go out daily. In addition, Willie plays a major role with the pick-line replenishment team. He helps cut plastic and run pallets to the pick line to ensure product stays replenished for the pullers. Willie also works in repack several weeks throughout the year to help cover for associates who are on vacation. Above and beyond all of these responsibilities, Willie is always willing to do whatever is asked of him, and he does it with a great attitude. Willie consistently demonstrates what it means to be a team player. Whether we need him to pull additional orders because of a staffing shortage or ask him to adjust his schedule and work five days instead of four, Willie is always flexible and willing to help. He never hesitates to step up when his team needs him. Outside of Work Outside of work, Willie is a huge basketball fan. His favorite teams are the Los Angeles Lakers and the Chicago Bulls. During basketball season, you can usually find Willie watching a game and enjoying a cold Bud Ice. When he isn't watching sports, he also enjoys watching old Western television shows. Recognition Willie, thank you for your many years of dedication, hard work, flexibility, and commitment to the Southern Eagle team. Please join us in congratulating Trevor Tweedy on being named Sales Eagle of the Quarter for the Third Quarter! Trevor joined the Southern Eagle team in January 2022 as a Relief Account Manager, where his strong commitment to winning and exceptional people skills quickly stood out. Those qualities helped him earn his first route as the Off-Premise Account Manager in Belle Chasse in January 2023. Just as Trevor was beginning to hit his stride on his new route, he found himself sidelined in June 2023 after dislocating his shoulder during drill. Although the injury kept him out for the better part of a year, Trevor was determined to return ready to contribute and help Southern Eagle in any way he could. During Super Bowl season, he played a pivotal role in helping Southern Eagle's execution have the look of a market leader. When his country called, Trevor answered. He deployed with his unit in March 2025 and returned to Southern Eagle in April 2026 after a year-long deployment. With his cousin, Luke, now also working for Southern Eagle, Trevor's ties to the company were even stronger. Determined not to live in his cousin's shadow, Trevor retired from the Off-Premise and decided to take his skills to the big leagues ,Southern Eagle On-Premise. He began his new role as the Westbank On-Premise Account Manager in April 2026, and since then, Trevor has continued to rise. His strong commitment to winning has shined in the On-Premise market and helped establish Trevor as a rising star. Proving that he's more than capable of stepping out of the shadows and making his own mark. When Trevor isn't at work, he enjoys spending time on the water with his wife, Tori, and daughter, Frankie. Just like her dad, Frankie shares his love of fishing and the outdoors. I've been told she's actually the best fisherman in the family! Trevor, thank you for your flexibility, commitment, teamwork, and willingness to help your fellow Eagles. Your dedication to Southern Eagle and the team does not go unnoticed. We also want to take a moment to thank you for your service and for helping protect our country. We are grateful for your commitment both on and off the job. Robin, a first time Eagle of the Quarter, has been with Southern Eagle for two years as our Fleet Maintenance Team Lead. Robin has been involved in the trucking business since she got her CDL at twenty-six years old. She learned to be mechanic working on cars with her dad and how to drive by riding shotgun in trucks with her uncle. After owning her own truck for several years, she decided that mechanic work was more to her liking and earned the prestigious ASE Certified Diesel Master Technician. Robin’s work ethic and experience have helped her to make many adjustments and changes to workflow and shop ergonomics, which have led to a smoother and more efficient shop. When not “turning wrenches,” she can be found with a laptop plugged into a truck reading codes and deep diving into everything that makes a truck run. Her wide knowledge base and skill set are impressive to say the least. Who knows how many PSI a Cummins common rail system is running after the second pump but before the third pump? Robin. What is the pressure capacity delta between a mechanical and piezo injector and what is a piezoelectric ceramic wafer anyway? Robin knows, and it is awesome that she does. When not working on trucks, reefers, trailers and Jerry’s stage, Robin can be found at her favorite coffee shop reading and writing, with the goal of being a published author. Robin is a history buff and proud of her Louisiana heritage which dates to 1790. Outside, the lakefront or any park is a perfect place for a relaxing walk or easing back into running and yoga. When at a bar hanging out with friends and meeting new people, a cold Bud Light is her beer of choice. Whether staying late, coming back later, going downtown at midnight to help even more, Robin has proven herself to be an excellent addition to the team. Team Leader Seth Hodges has been chosen as our Team Leader of the 3rd Quarter 2026. Seth started his career with Southern Eagle as a relief delivery sales driver in January 2016. Eventually, Seth became the French Quarter driver, servicing our “political” accounts on Bourbon Street. During his time as the French Quarter Driver Salesman, Seth spent many Mardi Gras, Super Bowls, Sugar Bowls, and many other City of New Orleans special events on Bourbon Street servicing each account before the crowds made it impossible to deliver orders, most times making deliveries before the sun came up. During many Mardi Gras seasons, Seth worked closely with several sales team leaders and account reps implementing creative ways to get an order into an account needing an emergency delivery at the height of the Mardi Gras madness. Through working with so many Eagles, Seth earned the title “King of Bourbon”. Due to his strong efforts as a Driver Salesman, Seth was promoted to Drive Sales Team Leader in April 2024. Seth enjoys spending time traveling with his partner Shawn, who he has been with for fourteen years. They enjoy hiking, cooking, tennis, and antiquing in the different cities that they travel to. Seth is OBSESSED with Disney! You will never meet anyone who has been to Disney more times than Seth. While cheering for the Saints and LSU, Seth enjoys having a Warsteiner Dunkel beer. Congratulations to Seth on becoming Team Leader of the 3rd Quarter.
Johnny Matthews has been chosen as our Driver Salesman of the 3rd Quarter. Johnny began his career with Southern Eagle on May 17, 2006, as a Relief Driver Sales driver. Through his twenty years of employment, Johnny has serviced many different areas of the Metro New Orleans area. Currently, Johnny is the Driver Salesman for the Marrero, Westwego, Avondale, Bridge City route. Because of his exceptional work ethic and customer rapport, Johnny has acted as a Driver Sales trainer for many driver trainees that have passed through the delivery sales department. For twenty years Johnny has always represented Southern Eagle very well in the market. Johnny is well known amongst his fellow drivers for his mild manner and sharp appearance. His uniform is ALWAYS starched and ironed, with creases so sharp you could cut yourself. Johnny has taken a little fun ribbing from his peers for it. Johnny enjoys traveling and video games. He has been married to his wife Tiffany for twenty-two years. Johnny has one daughter, Ja’Nya who is twenty-one years old. Johnny is a big Grambling and Saint’s fan and enjoys a good cold Mich Ultra while cheering for his team.
Patrick Mockler
President
During his 30+ year career at Mockler Beverage in Baton Rouge, he held many positions in Operations, Driver-Sales, Marketing, Sales, General Manager and President. In May of 2009, he and his brother Tim, acquired Southern Eagle in New Orleans. Currently he is a partner in Mockler Beverage and Southern Eagle, where he has been President since 2018. His wife, Shelley worked for 24 years at Mockler Beverage before opening Grace Yoga & Pilates in 2020. Their 2 sons, Patrick and Cooper, are working at Southern Eagle, learning the business from the ground up. His favorite beer is of course, Budweiser, The King of Beers!
